Keeping our finger on the pulse of hospitality

March saw two busy days for Key Account Manager Vicky Bentley. First the inaugural HHH Awards, which was a fabulous evening celebrating the efforts of the housekeeping teams – the beating heart of the hospitality industry. As proud sponsors, we were there on the night to help celebrate the achievements and efforts of the housekeepers who go above and beyond. Tonrose awarded the winner of the the Unsung Hero award to Mark Gough from Mottram Hall (collected on his behalf by Nicole Regan). We loved being a part of it and look forward to doing it all again next year..

Visiting Heimtextil 2019

Tonrose recently visited Heimtextil in Frankfurt, the world’s largest gathering of textile professionals. The annual event attracts people from over the world and offers an impressive platform to meet suppliers and discover the latest in innovations. Terry Sheldon (Chairman), Paul White (Head of NPD) and Karen Clarkson (Procurement Manager) attended the show and reported back on their experience. Heimtextil is a firm date in the diary for any textile supplier. Describing itself as “the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles”, it doesn’t disappoint. Building a sustainable hospitality supply chain

As part of the recent events season, the Tonrose Group attended the Independent Hotel Show. Widely regarded as a firm fixture in the calendar for independent hoteliers, industry professionals and suppliers, the show presents a curated collection of over 300 innovative product and service providers from across the hotel supply chain. Celebrating the next generation: TSA event launches Apprenticeships

Tonrose Chairman Terry Sheldon was delighted to attend the House of Commons recently at the first ever TSA Parliamentary Reception (Textile Services Association). The 'Celebrating the Next Generation of Textile Services Apprenticeships' event launched the new Textile Case Service Operatives apprenticeship program, and provided a platform to highlight the contribution the textile industry gives to the British economy. Attracted a selection of MPs, TSA members, apprentices and representatives from the international linen community, the event forms part of the organisation's mission to ‘protect, promote and educate the textile care industry’. It was a celebration of dedication to the textile care industry. Dressed to impress, a mixture of laundries, dry cleaners, suppliers, hoteliers and association attended the black-tie event as those who had gone above and beyond were recognised for their efforts and achievements at the LADAs 2018 (Laundry and Drycleaning Awards).
